Creative Critical Reflection

Once I finished creating my magazine, I creatively and critically reflected on four questions about my project. I answered the questions through an interactive presentation, a social media account, an interview, and a podcast (respectively). By choosing these digital formats, I exposed myself to various forms of media—from those I regularly experience (presentations and social media) to those I have little to no experience in (interviews and podcasts).
Q1: How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?
I answered this question as an interactive presentation via Prezi. One can navigate my presentation by clicking the Prezi arrows or the keyboard arrow keys.
Q2: How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?
I answered this question by creating an Instagram account; the publisher of my magazine (Avidan Publications) runs the account and posts content about my new Ready, Set, Bake! magazine.

Q3: How did your production skills develop throughout this project?
I responded to this question by creating an interview; my sister, Shira Avidan, asked me about my magazine and the skills I've developed as I progressed with my project. The interview involves me explaining the question as a special guest on the cooking show, "Can You Bake?". I edited my interview through Clipchamp, and the music segments at the beginning and end of the video are from Clipchamp.
Q4: How did you integrate technologies - software, hardware, and online - in this project?
I responded to this question by creating a podcast. I recorded my podcast through Voice Memos (on my iPhone) and edited it through Clipchamp (on my computer); the music in both the intro and outro of my podcast is from Clipchamp.
