As my media studies class and I prepare for our magazine article, we must consider factors such as the people necessary to achieve our goal. Cast and crew refer to everyone involved in making a film, television show, and more. Regarding my magazine article, the cast and crew would involve myself, my parents, the interviewee, and the chefs/staff members at Sweet Delight Cheesecakes (the local bakery where I plan to conduct my interview and second photoshoot).
Cast
Interviewee:
I plan on including an interviewing with Nadia Decius, baker and founder of Sweet Delight Cheesecake, in my magazine article. Nadia is passionate about her career and has plenty of insight about baking cheesecake, hence my preference in interviewing her. However, I will first need her permission.
Bakers:
Along with my interview with Nadia, I would like to photograph the behind-the-scenes of either her or a staff member preparing the desserts for her bakery. More specifically, I would like to go into their kitchen and photograph various desserts they are preparing from different shots and angles. Once again, I would need their permission before fulfilling this goal.
Since I will photograph myself baking three cheesecakes (a regular, vegan, and no-bake cheesecake) from scratch, I would consider myself one of the cast members that deal with baking.
Crew
Producer/Director/Cinematographer/Prop Master:
I would consider myself the producer, director, and prop master for my photoshoots and interview as I will plan and supervise the overall components, think of the creative aspects, and handle the photographic portions of this project. I will also manage the props for this project.
Transportation Captains:

Transportation captains are essential crew members that handle transportation and ensure the cast and crew members reach their destination. Since my parents have to drive me to and from the bakery, they will be the transportation captains.
Assistants:

Not only will my parents manage the transportation aspect of my project, but they will also be my assistants. Considering I will need certain ingredients for baking cheesecakes (my home photoshoot) and possibly props, they would help me with the purchases. They will also be my assistants for giving me feedback and accompanying me at the bakery. When I plate and make my cheesecake visually appealing, they can give me their opinions and advice for enhancing the looks of my desserts.
The cast and crew necessary to reach my goal of conducting two photoshoots (at my house and at Sweet Delight Cheesecakes) and an interview at a local bakery are not excessive, as I will mostly be independent. However, I will need the help of my parents, Nadia Decius (the interviewee), and the bakers/staff members at Sweet Delight Cheesecakes to produce a successful outcome.
